đŸŽ¯ Your First Design

RF Module Designer:

  1. Accept the disclaimer (first-time only)
  2. Navigate to "RF Module Designer" tab
  3. Phase 1: Enter Requirements
  4. Frequency: 2.4 GHz
  5. Power: 30 dBm
  6. Application: WiFi
  7. Click "Continue to Phase II"
  8. Phase 2: Enable AI
  9. Toggle "🤖 Enable AI Agent Component Selection"
  10. Wait 5-10 seconds for AI to design chain
  11. Click any component to see details
  12. Review Results
  13. Check Chain Analysis metrics
  14. Review BOM and cost
  15. Fix any validation errors
  16. Export
  17. Click "Download CSV" for BOM
  18. All 5 phases are operational — continue to Phase 3 (Link Budget) and beyond as needed

Pro Tip

Click the info icon (â„šī¸) next to any component to see why it was chosen!

PCB Stackup Designer:

  1. Navigate to "PCB Stackup Designer" tab
  2. Select layer count: Click "4 Layers"
  3. Configure stackup:
  4. L1: Signal (1 oz Cu)
  5. L2: Ground (1 oz Cu)
  6. L3: Power (1 oz Cu)
  7. L4: Signal (1 oz Cu)
  8. Set total thickness: 1.6mm
  9. Validate: Check impedance and DFM rules
  10. Export to KiCad:
  11. Click "Export KiCAD" tab
  12. Enter project name
  13. Click "Generate KiCAD Files"
  14. Download and open in KiCad

AI Chat Assistant:

  1. Open the chat sidebar — auto-opens on first visit, or click the chat icon
  2. Click a starter prompt — 6 context-aware prompt cards to get started (e.g., "Design a 77 GHz automotive radar stackup")
  3. Review action cards — tool call results appear inline as styled cards
  4. Watch the agent work — open /app/agent (AI-native shell) and describe a radio (e.g., "5.8 GHz 1 W satellite uplink") to see it designed end-to-end. (A public signed-out /demo/agent replay is also available — it streams a captured real transcript with no sign-in required, behind the FF_PUBLIC_DEMO / VITE_FF_PUBLIC_DEMO flags, default off in code and enabled via the root .env.)

Design Templates

Ask the AI to apply a design template (e.g., "5G mmWave frontend") and it will set frequency, material, and layers in one shot.

❓ Common Questions

Do I need to create an account?

No account required to start!

  • Free tier: Start designing immediately
  • Designs saved in browser (up to 5/month)
  • Create account for cloud sync and unlimited designs
What browsers are supported?

All modern browsers:

  • ✅ Chrome/Edge (Recommended)
  • ✅ Firefox
  • ✅ Safari
  • Requires JavaScript enabled
Can I use this offline?

No, internet connection required:

  • Cloud-based component database
  • Real-time AI processing
  • Export generation on server
Component selection taking long?

First design may take 10-15 seconds:

  • Database loading and caching
  • Subsequent designs are faster (5-10s)
  • This is normal behavior
