Quick Start Guide¶
Start designing RF modules and PCB stackups in minutes!
đ Accessing the Application¶
Web Application¶
Simply navigate to:
No Installation Required!
MagicON AI is a web-based application - just open your browser and start designing!
System Requirements:¶
- â Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari)
- â Internet connection
- â JavaScript enabled
Account Options:¶
- Free Tier: Start designing immediately (5 designs/month)
- Pro Tier: Unlimited designs with advanced features (View Pricing)
- Enterprise: Custom solutions for teams (Contact Sales)
đ¯ Your First Design¶
RF Module Designer:¶
- Accept the disclaimer (first-time only)
- Navigate to "RF Module Designer" tab
- Phase 1: Enter Requirements
- Frequency:
2.4GHz - Power:
30dBm - Application:
WiFi - Click "Continue to Phase II"
- Phase 2: Enable AI
- Toggle "đ¤ Enable AI Agent Component Selection"
- Wait 5-10 seconds for AI to design chain
- Click any component to see details
- Review Results
- Check Chain Analysis metrics
- Review BOM and cost
- Fix any validation errors
- Export
- Click "Download CSV" for BOM
- All 5 phases are operational â continue to Phase 3 (Link Budget) and beyond as needed
Pro Tip
Click the info icon (âšī¸) next to any component to see why it was chosen!
PCB Stackup Designer:¶
- Navigate to "PCB Stackup Designer" tab
- Select layer count: Click "4 Layers"
- Configure stackup:
- L1: Signal (1 oz Cu)
- L2: Ground (1 oz Cu)
- L3: Power (1 oz Cu)
- L4: Signal (1 oz Cu)
- Set total thickness: 1.6mm
- Validate: Check impedance and DFM rules
- Export to KiCad:
- Click "Export KiCAD" tab
- Enter project name
- Click "Generate KiCAD Files"
- Download and open in KiCad
AI Chat Assistant:¶
- Open the chat sidebar â auto-opens on first visit, or click the chat icon
- Click a starter prompt â 6 context-aware prompt cards to get started (e.g., "Design a 77 GHz automotive radar stackup")
- Review action cards â tool call results appear inline as styled cards
- Watch the agent work â open
/app/agent(AI-native shell) and describe a radio (e.g., "5.8 GHz 1 W satellite uplink") to see it designed end-to-end. (A public signed-out/demo/agentreplay is also available â it streams a captured real transcript with no sign-in required, behind theFF_PUBLIC_DEMO/VITE_FF_PUBLIC_DEMOflags, default off in code and enabled via the root.env.)
Design Templates
Ask the AI to apply a design template (e.g., "5G mmWave frontend") and it will set frequency, material, and layers in one shot.
â Common Questions¶
Do I need to create an account?
No account required to start!
- Free tier: Start designing immediately
- Designs saved in browser (up to 5/month)
- Create account for cloud sync and unlimited designs
What browsers are supported?
All modern browsers:
- â Chrome/Edge (Recommended)
- â Firefox
- â Safari
- Requires JavaScript enabled
Can I use this offline?
No, internet connection required:
- Cloud-based component database
- Real-time AI processing
- Export generation on server
Component selection taking long?
First design may take 10-15 seconds:
- Database loading and caching
